Mine was somewhere around $350 if memory serves but I was shocked to hear I had some mystery $1000 credit on my account from the sales dept.

Due for Service B in a couple of weeks and the $650 credit balance should cover that.

WOW!! Man thats good, here in Oz the Stealers charge 4X that!! Hence why I go to an Indie MB Specialist [he used to train their techs in Oz for 20yrs prior to opening his own shop]. And he's German.

There's a lot of competition around here in SoCal. There's 9 dealers within 30 mins of my house and a total of 25 dealers in the region.

WOW! Proof positive that competition keeps the market healthy.

Dealer was very iffy over the phone when I booked and asked cost...first he asked if the vehicle was purchased there (n),,,then he asked if the vehicle has even been there (y)..then he said anywhere from $350-$450...wtf ? to do an oil change and a dozen checks ? What's the going rate for dealer to do an oil change on these ?

I just paid $250 for Service A on my SL.

Need to bring in the ML in a few weeks. I don't think it will be much different.

When I got my 2013 S550, the finance guy offered me a pre-paid service contract. Frankly, I don't remember all of the details, but I do remember that it was too good to pass up. It was something like almost half price, it was from MB and could be used at any MB dealer. Too many folks were starting to go to independents, so they are trying to get you locked in at the start. They are also trying to compete with BMW, as all of their new cars have all scheduled service included in the purchase price for 50K miles. I am usually of the mind set to automatically say "no" to ANYTHING offered by the finance guys, but this deal was a truly good one. When my new ML350BT comes in, in about a month, I hope my dealer is still offering this plan, as I will go for it.

I could but the days of changing oil are behind me..I'd just as soon pay someone for a task as such...now when it came to hardwiring my laser jammers / detectors that I can get into..

Should post a copy on here. Maybe help out those who will be able to price match other dealers.

Does it say additional cost for AMG?

Sorry, I didn't keep the flyer because I had my service done in November. The price I paid though was no different from what I paid when I had an ML550 so I don't think there is a premium for AMG vehicles, at least with my dealer.

Service B cost me $711.38 today with nothing required outside of whatever the hell Service B entails.

$384.20 in labour
$239.89 in parts (2 air filters, 1 oil filter and oil)
$5.45 environmental fee
$81.84 in tax

I am amused. Barely broken in with 19,000 km by the way.

Oh well, big road trip coming up next month so at least I have fresh oil for the journey.

Service A cost me $388.44
$231.00 labour
$122.77 oil change ($26.45 filter, $94.95 oil, $1.37 sealing ring)
$16.17 misc
$18.50 tax

I'm happy.
I feel it is fair charge for fair service ..they gave me a new GLK to drive for a day (normally charged at $40 per diem)...offered a wash I turned down and I initiated and established the relationship needed for future whatevers..
Just wish I could deal with a male service writer...next time maybe

Also they noted vehicle has block heater but no cord..cord is additional at $250-$350...wtf ?
