Akebono Brake Pads

Are these still the brake pad of choice for MBs? Rears are shot on my '12 and curious if Akebonos are still the pad of choice.

yes, for OE alternative with much less dust...

Well damn, I don't think Akebono makes rears for the ML. Any other OEM recommendations, I found some Centric ones.

18 E63s Wagon 15 GL63 (sold), 10 Turbo TT MT, A36 Bonanza, 20 JLU Rubicon

I installed Porterfields on my GL63. They work great with very little dust.
I will point out that my 2015 OEM Brembo pads actually didn't dust up that bad... So maybe MB has improved the compound... As my 2014 was terrible at brake dust.

Request the thinner rear pads.....
Search out the procedure to release the electric parking brake...
In fact... I have a DIY brake replacement thread out here too...
And lastly, paint your disc brake center drum where it is rusting while you have the wheels off!
