really anoying squeaking driver seat
My ML is at the shop right now for a squeak at the driver's seat whenever you rock the seat side to side this just drives me crazy as when you hit the perfect timing and just continue to sway side to side the squeak won't stop. Is this a seat frame issue or just clips that are rubbing on plastic parts?

Got told today that some parts needs to be ordered from germany as some of them are not per spec and causing rubbing between each other...1-2 weeks to wait...won't complain as I have a new GLA loaner to put some miles on and will call it extra long test drive. It is just a pita that it is a fully loaded GLA but for some reason it does not have a back-up camera and even though the GLA is small it is harder to reverse than the ML because you barely can see anything behind you.

Our 2013 Ml350 Bluetec is also making a very loud drivers seat squeak. The noise seems to be much worse when it is cold outside. The dealer has tried to fix it 5 or 6 times, but ultimately the noise comes back.
Can you post what the dealer found and what parts are on order? The dealer we are using simply keeps on adding more felt tape to parts inside the seat. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I have a brand new GLE400 and it's got the same issue. Could you please post the work order so we know what your dealers had ordered to fix the issue?

I have this problem on my 13 ML’s driver seat. The noise happens in cold weather. It’s coming from the large plastic cover that’s on the left side (where the lumbar adjustment button is located). If you have someone firmly press on the entire cover with both hands and you try to move the seat while sitting, the creaking noise doesn’t happen anymore. Basically the plastic cover is rubbing against something. A possible fix is to remove the cover and add padding.

Thanks for the reply. That wasn't the most egregious issue I had with the car. It was the dealer and their attitude towards fixing it and how services that were supposed to be done to the car weren't actually done when I bought it. I've had it with them, and the car. I bought a Ford...It was my fourth and last Mercedes. It happened each time I bought one. They are just too frustrating for me I guess Thanks again for the note.

I've had the squeaky seat issue before and it drove me mad to the point of considering selling my ML.
After swearing and manipulating the seat every which way, and searching forums and YouTube etc I managed to fix it myself with some lubricant spray and 30 minutes of disassembly and re-assembly..allen keys, socket set and a torx screw drive are required. Sorry, can't remember the sizes, was a while ago.
Take off the three plastic panels on the door side of driver's seat and locate the one and only large silver nut on the inside and underside of the seat frame closest to the door. You'll need to put your seat up high and stick your head under to see it. Loosen it slightly, give it, and the surrounding area, a light spray and re-tighten.
I took pics when I did it so when I find them I'll post them. Haven't had a single squeak since.
<edit> found pics - note this is a right hand drive ML 400.
Step 1, set the seat up as high as you can.
Start removing panels
Pay attention to how this part is fitted as you remove it, it's tricky to get back on, particularly where the seat belt is, so be patient.
Just check to see if you can locate the nut in the last photo before you remove this part, you may not have to remove it if you can access the nut to loosen it.
I can't remember if I needed to remove this to access the nut or I had just removed it as part of my trouble shooting search before i located the source of the squeak. It was a fair while ago.
Need to look under where the nozzle is pointing to locate the nut and bracket(s)
This is the offending nut . The two brackets under it are the source of the squeak.
