Just totalled my car
Hi folks,
On the way to our vacation yesterday, we were touched at highway speed by another car on our rear left, sending our our in a spin. We hit the left hand shoulder, the car flipped to its right side and spinned on its side until finally getting back on its wheels. We were 4 in the car, myself, my wife and our 2 girls (2 and 4). Everybody had his seatbelt on and the girls were strapped in some Romer child seats. The curtain airbags deployed and protected us very well, my head hit it but I wasnt harmed. The passenger side window also exploded but the curtain protected my wife from getting her arms through the window or getting injured by glass debris. A very bad start to a vacation but the car definitely saved our lives. I'll post pictures just now.

First of all, I think you hit the lottery when everybody in your family walk away from that accident unscathed, your Mercedes most certainly had a role in that outcome. Not sure what country you are in but you might want to consult an attorney for possible injury, stress and negligence on the other driver's part.

i've always believed that it's the things you DON'T see with a MB. i had a TE 4matic at the same time as a grand cherokee ltd. the front coil springs on the TE were about twice the thickness of the jeep! who looks at coil springs?
i knew a guy (in his 60's) a ways back that got into it with a tractor trailer on the highway. the S wasn't very recognizable, but he limped away. he couldn't praise that car enough.

So we finally decided to go with the GLS. I wanted the 550 (500 in France) but none available, and close to 6 month wait time for custom builds... So we went with a fully loaded 350d. Getting it in 3 days, cant wait!!
