You have a Bluetec? I just had both NOx sensors replaced (under warranty). Not a cheap fix....about $450 a piece, excluding labor
yeo a bluetec , dam I'm out of Warrenty :/ so I'm lucked out lol . Do have a part number from your receipt perhaps ? This way I'll order one hopefully don't need both

I believe there is an updated and an older part number.
Dont know which is front and which is rear. I was able to clear my engine light, but I came back on the next day. Are you saying that your light comes on from time to time?
I would be sure before replacing the NOx sensor. They are pretty expensive and dont know if you can return them.
I had a different error code, so this is pretty generic. It can be anything from low DEF solution to bad Cat. Straight out of my butt, but hows your DEF level. Maybe you should pour two gallons in and see if the light is still on.
I had both replaced last month by the dealer on a ML350 Bluetec, 2014 with 73K on it. Those were NOX sensors, not the oxygen sensors.
Two different part numbers for the NOX sensors: 000- 905-35-03 and 000-905-36-03. Which is front and which is rear? Got me. If I was interested I could Google both parts and then know.
It says on my invoice that "Found both front and rear NOX sensors faulty due to an internal short. Removed and replaced both".
Before I had this done, I Googled NOX sensors for my car and came upon a thread on another MB forum. This guy said he had a problem with the NOX sensor , I believe in the front, and the problem was water intrusion into the wiring harness/plug of the sensor coming from the a/c discharge. I shoulda but DID NOT mention this to my service advisor. SHOULDA. It's not likely both sensors went bad at the same time. i'll never know. I've seen this done in aircraft'n. Remove and replace the most likely bad actor type thing. The service advisor did call me and tell me what they were changeing and said their 'output' was confusing/irregular/whatever he said. All's well now.
As for adding more urea......I did that but it made no sense. If it was low, you''d get a caution light saying so. CAn't hurt though.
Oh, the parts cost $543.00 and $582.00. Labor cost was something else, 'cause mechanic need a good 401K and health benefits and have car payments and house payment to make to say nothing about the 'girl friend' the wife knows not about.
