considering buying 2014 ML350 bluetec
Is this something I should expect? or was it resolved in 2014 model years? Anything else I should watch out for? It is certified pre-owned so I would have a few years warranty left on major components (although still need to read the small print of what that includes).
Any advice appreciated. Currently have a 2010 GLK and no major issues. Hoping for similar reliability with the ML. never had a diesel engine before.

let me know
Thanks!!
I also agree changing the oil at 5k intervals is cheap insurance. I can do this myself so it takes some of the sting out of the cost. In general, diesel maintenance will cost more than a normal engine. So far I've been on one long trip and averaged 30mpg. The ride, comfort and torque are great. There is no engine clatter in the vehicle and very little outside.
Im getting very close to 50K in my ML350BT, end of warranty
)Can you tell what you have done in 50K service and how much did you pay?
Did you do all what in maintenance book under required section?
Im thinking just to do the oil change. I don't see anything in the book I think I should do.

We currently own a 08 GL320CDI, and a 09 E320 bluetec. Both have had the oil coolers leak and then take out the actuator underneath it. Expensive. The mechanic told me the part number has changed since 2009 indicating MB knew there was a problem and corrected it. I do not know if the new part is any better.

That being said, they are great cars, and I want to get a new one.
All of the 2015's I have seen are the 250BT (4cyl). Are there any 350BT's out there?
