I hit a deer in SC and the body shop has estimated a after market fender. Is it a good idea to pay extra to get a OEW fender put on?

It is at a MB approved shop, but because it is a 2013 they have the right to use non MB parts, unless you have a clause in the policy I did not know exsisted

Racer12... I thought you hit the deer in NC, not SC (or at least that's what you wrote in the other thread) and that furthermore you bought the car from MB in Newmarket, Ontario, where you tried to take it back because you could smell cigarette smoke or something along those lines. All of your posts seem to be whining about this or that and you also keep asking questions like this one to which there is no "right" answer, but you've supposedly had three MBs in the past (and I am guessing other cars)... somethign doesn't look right.
If you live in Ontario, all body shops that you take your car to will quote you exactly the same OEM repalcement fender from MB, even if you were travelling to NC (or now maybe SC) where you had the accident. If the accident happened out of the country and you need to get it fixed there, Ontario insurance will still pay for OEM quality parts and service. What am I missing?

It's common (for US auto insurance) for insurance companies to request the use of aftermarket fenders to save money for them. You may have to pay the difference depending on your policy and insurance company policy.

Diabolis I asked a simple question and you came back with an ignorant response! How many cars I have had since the Newmarket ML is none of your concern . I am not whinning about everything. So I miss typed NC for SC what's it to you? There are a lot of other nice people on the forum, who don't post because of people like you. I am done posting on the forum because of you. So do the forum a break and stop being a jerk. You have had a lot of good information, but you seem to want to bully people
