My ML350 Bluetec was making noises when hard accerelation.

I thought they were the engine mounts or the transmission. Today, my dealer told me that is the transfer case and it will cost me 6k to replace it.

Anybody has experienced this problem?

Yep loads of used hard run ML350's-------find and indy and call LQK for the transfer case.

I don't get this, because of this post I called my service adviser and he confirmed oil better be changed at 60K but its not on maintenance schedule.
What else is missing on schedule?

The chain stretches/gears wear. Fluid changes alone won't necessarily be enough.

There are repair kits out there if you catch it at the popping stage, before it explodes.
