Oil analysis shows silicon. What is going on?
I just received the oil analyse report and it show high silicon value. No work on the engine was done, the last thing what I have done was the fuel filter replacement.
at the same time Air filter and some orange seals (on turbo, on each side for air filter, and one green o-ring on turbo resonator) were replaced as well.
Any idea what might be wrong?
I have report attached to this post.

Oil was changed at 3.5K miles mark.
Planning to do another sample in a few weeks.

I would suspect its caused by one of those seals that you have since replaced.

Mb Genuine Engine Oil. 229.52
Im getting it from MB dealer.
Despite the long service life claims, 229.52 oils offer a somewhat shorter "realistic" change intervals than 229.51 oils, but if you keep the oil in service for only 5K miles you're not going to wear out the additives or dilute it to the point where you're compromising on engine protection so you're good. Obviously, doing UOAs is the best way to determine how much life is left in the oil (and have a look at your engine health), so you're way ahead of the curve.

Hope iron and silicon will get down at the next sample. Will do it at 3K. So worry about what is going on with the engine.
