Battery drain
I recently replace my old ML350 for a 2015 ML350 and after a few weeks a 2-3 time weeks truck won't start because the battery was dead over night.
I finally kind of located the problem and need your feedback before going back to the dealer.
Whenever the push to start button is inserted, eventually the battery end up dead over night.
I realize that If I don't insert it, don't use it at all, I have no battery drain.
Then I push my test further and use it to start the car but always remove it when I get home or park the truck for a long period of time and so far I still have no battery drain after 1 week.
What do you think could cause the battery drain when the button is in the socket?
I went to the dealer before my tests, they kept it for 2 weeks and they never had any issues with it, this time I want to keep the $$ to a minimum by having as much info as I can.
Thank You

And I had a 2011 also with keyless, truck and keys same spot for years and never had any issues.
I actually ask the dealer a few days ago if he was starting the car with the keys or button and told me both. so my guess is that the button was not always in the socket and since it random when the button is in the socket, he never had the problem during the 2 weeks.
I even for fun borrow a friend button and after the third day the battery was drain over night.

I've got an issue with my mom's 07' Taurus, we must've replaced the battery at least 4-5 times. Goes dead if it hasn't run in over 2-3 weeks. It's in my garage now and tests show a draw of .3 amps with everything off, which is way more than acceptable. You'll have to start pulling fuses one-by-one 'till you find the guilty circuit.

If your fob is far away from your car, and you are still hearing that relay like sound click (the keyless go module is under the carpet, and an antenna in the center console), then something is triggering the system and you need to have it scanned.
