Ml350 Android Head unit

the way i did it was by passing it to the side and beneath glovebox, there is a cover that i easily removed by unscrewing three screws. Then I passed it through the arm rest from the side which i found easier. Then I removed the cover from the arm rest box which has the USB port attached to it and I ran a guiding wire from there to the side of the arm rest where my AUX socket. I attached the AUX socket to the guiding wire and pulled gently until the socket reached the arm rest box. Then you need to hide any excess wire behind the the arm rest cover and plug the AUX socket to the plug.
sorry for not sharing photos now but if you didn’t get my idea I will share photos.

Great an thanks for the post. I wish they would tell you this before selling you the unit. This is the only pain I see on the whole installations.
Would you mind sending me a pic? Thanks

what happened to "I will search the forums"? No need to post the same question in multiple threads. If you literally took the time to not only examine your center console, and then do a search here, you will find it is incredibly easy to undo the 4 torx screws holding the center console in place enough for you to lift it and route the cable up underneath and into the storage bin.

Listen man I don't appreciate your comments. I ask for help and all you said was to search the forums. I thought this was a place to get answers from fellow MB enthusiast.. I have research all forums, and what I am looking for is the second pair of screws that I can't find. I did find the two T20's by pulling the rubber mat above the ashtray. But where are the other two you referring to? thus me asking for an schematic if available.
and just like you finished your post,

get banned for what? you sir ended your sarcastic post with: you can lead a horse to water....
Now what part of my post don't you understand? I have seen the above link and others a 1000 times and I don't see the two ashtray screws at all. I also looked at my car pulled the rubber cover and I can see the two T20 screws but not the other ones that supposedly are somewhere behind the ash tray.. That is all I was trying to get help on!!!

Where the f are you reading there are other screws behind the ash tray? Did you even look at the WIS pdf from that post? It doesn't get any clearer than that. 2 T20's that secure the console to the front (which you found) and 2 more in the bottom of the storage bin.

hello there. funny I was just talking to a member that actually used the OEM GPS antenna and it works better than the GPS antenna bundled with the Android unit. this is his reply:
The android gps unit is a joke. The Fakra Y connection works amazingly well and has been as solid as OEM.
Forgive me if I am little hazy on what I did to make it work but the following is what made it work for me.
This guy attaches to the unit. I don't recall if a 90 degree one was better but this is the one I bought and it was a tight fit but it fits no problemo.
This is the actual y splitter. You have to shave a nub off with a knife or dull box cutter so that the connector mates properly. Fakra has a bunch of nub orientations depending on what you are using it for. Make sure you are shaving off the right one. Its like a 2 min job. The knife doesn't have to be sharp but I'd avoid the butter knife.

These units don't like upgrading. It's why I refuse to use UI 3 (the green-ish) POS OS. Stick with stability, or you're asking for headache. What are you specifically looking to get out of 9 or 10?

NTG 4.5 - 4.7 GPS Fakra color
I have a late 2013 ML350 Base with Nav. Does anyone know what color is the OEM GPS fraka connector in the back of the unit?? I know the LVDS is blue in color.
If you have a pic and can posted even better.
Thanks in advance
