Yesterday I picked up my car from the shop and I saw a message on the board "Check brake pad wear".
The prehistory of this notification is the following.
One month ago I've dropped my car to the insurance-shop in order to get done some repairs on the driver's side due to a hit and run accident (the repairs consisted in: replacing the tail light, fixing the driver's door handle, and re-painting all driver's side and fender, also they performed and a wheel alignment too). Overall the impact was small, just a big scratch.
Also, the odometer showed 10 km more than when I've dropped the car in the shop.
BTW, the car was purchased 4 months ago with a new brakes + pads and I've put only 5000 km since I got the car.
!!! The shop could not explain to me, why this notification comes up, blaming the coincidence factor.
Did anybody encounter a similar issue?
Need advice, please.
