Retrofitting heated/cooled cupholders?

I'm curious...

How doable is this? I've seen some heated/cooled cupholder units for sale on various forums and web sites. My w166 obviously didn't come with the option. How hard would it be to retrofit one of these things? Would it require coding? Has anyone done it?

Found it! Glad there’s only 4 wires and that there’s no coding needed!

Any idea where to get it? Is the dealer my only option?

I have this option and it ain’t really worth it. Does very little heating or cooling. Next time it’s heated steering wheel instead

I know this is an old thread, but recently got a GL X166 and wanted to retrofit the heated/cooled cupholders. Want to do it properly, as you have advised, so any chance you have a part number for the actual MB harness needed?

Thanks in advance!
