Just purchased 9” Android w/ CarPlay
I went with this company. What is everyone’s thoughts on these? Trying to keep my vehicle fresh for 3more years before I sell it. Only has 78k and I like the diesel. I became pretty happy with my G30 5 series with wireless CarPlay and this seems like a decent upgrade. Never a fan of aftermarket but the SUV is 7yrs old and doesn’t owe me anything. Only concern I have is I pull a snowmobile trailer up to NH where almost everyday it’s -20F to 5F. Who knows how this thing will do in that cold. Even my buddies 2020 Chevy the screen goes black in these temps.

You are right at the point where most OM642 engines start having major issues. You may want to rethink your plan to continue ownership.
There are plenty of threads on these type units so you may want to do forum search for other 166 models.

I am well aware. I will have it to about 100k give or take. Good thing I have the Xentry MBstar software on a laptop which has been worth its weight in gold when the MAF and N2O sensors failed.

I will be interested in your outcome. I'm considering the same 9" Avin unit. As a DIY guy, I just don't currently have the time to do the install. Have you followed the “Android 8.4" Display Installation (Information & Help)” thread plus the included YouTube links on this same forum?
Regarding the Diesel bashing that crept into this thread: I have over 88K miles on my GL350 and no issues. Love and plan to keep the vehicle well beyond 100K. Because of the hype, I did remove and inspect the EGR valve—some soot not worthy of cleaning. I do plan to remove/inspect the EGR cooler tubes when I get the correct O-rings. When/if I get the oil cooler leak, I’ll deal with it.
