Hello allI have an Ml350 2012 the gas version with the m276 engine and am experiencing hiccups on idle. It doesnt have any signs in startup and only happens after driving for about 10 min and coming to a stop, which is when car starts having hiccups. I will post a video of the engine having these hiccups. It all started when the car left me stranded on the highway and would not turn over. I changed the high pressure fuel pump, and from there the car started stalling at the red lights when idling, but it would turn on again like nothing happened until it came to another stop. From there I visited the dealer for a recall related to water intrusion and they changed the fuel pump control module. This change made it have the current habit of hiccups. I also changed the coolant temp sensor as I saw in another post but no change in the hiccups from that change. Please let me know if anyone else has experience something like this. Thanks in advance.

This is an interesting case where local dealer failed to fix your hard issue... This is likely centered around fuel delivery... but these chassis rely heavily on electronics.
You have two new pumps but what about filter??
what the current mileage
Go ahead and check in that order:

Go ahead and check in that order:
- scan for chassis FAULTS
- Fuel PRESSURES <<<<
- Long term Fuel TRIMS

So the car has 88000miles on it, I still have not checked the fuel filter but will get there To continue with the codes, when the car first stalled i got the code p0087, I changed the hp fuel pump but it kept coming back every time car would stall, until I got it to the dealer for the recall. From than I only seem to get p0305 and p0300 codes which seem unrelated to the issue.
Thanks for reminding me for the fuel pressures , I havent done something like that yet, but when viewing data in xentry I found that the " total actuation of quantity control valve" would go down to 11 the hiccup would happen and that value would jump to 20 from where it would keep on repeating while on idle

This shows HPFP struggling to build up 2100Psi rail pressure....Originally Posted by Ml350 20121

fuel issue
You should use your Xentry to read in-tank fuel pump pressure... likely pointing at a contaminated filter - Clean fuel tank as well according to inspection.
when you have a chance translate your faults codes in English descriptions.
