Replacing bulbs in Halogen Unit to Xenon or newer

Hi I apologize if this information is already out their, but after much searching I couldn't find a clear answer. I have a 2015 ML350 which I've had since new and the car has the base halogen headlamps. I have a X7 now and the headlights in that car are significantly better and it makes night time driving in the ML pale in comparison. I need some help as to whether I could just replace the halogen bulbs in my existing headlight unit to a xenon bulb or something newer or would that not be possible? I'm trying to keep this under $150 so buying new headlights aren't an option unless I could get some for under $200.

I have the Xenon headlights in mine and to be honest they aren’t much better. I just yesterday purchased some LED conversion bulbs so I’ll let you know how they are. The light output is positioned in the same place as the xenon bulbs so I’m hoping the light spread will be the same but brighter.
You can get the same conversion for the H7 halogen for around $50 or less. It’s probably your best option.

I would suggest to check out @AZN Optics They might have an option for you that you might like. I forget if it is xenon or something else.

Could you send a link, I would highly appreciate it. Also would it just be a simple unscrew bulb and insert new one or would additional work be needed like programming? The led bulb would fit in the halogen socket without issue right?

How much is AZN nowadays for a plug and play retrofit? I saw 350 online but not sure if that was the right kit and above my budget.

Fitted my new LED’s today and tested them out tonight, They are a huge improvement on the brightness of light in front of the car and a bit better over distance. Overall it’s a huge improvement from the xenon’s which in all fairness were probably overdue for replacement.
I think the xenon’s are 4800 and the LEDs are 6000 so the light it whiter.

Comparing the two together the light output looks to be in the same position.

Very nice LED light.
I did the low beams only (LasFit ProMB2 product). Kept halogens on the high ones. Did you do both?

I replaced them both and I like them.
They lasted for more than 3 years. Now they still work well.
