Puddle Lights Wiring Missing

I recently bought these puddle lamps for my 2015 ML off amazon
Amazon Amazon
. I was very disappointed when I took out the original ones to find out their was no wiring for the new ones to work, and that's when it hit me, over the last 11 years of owning this car I've never seen the original puddle lamps work, they've just been dummies the entire time. Very surprising mercedes never put real puddle lamps for a car that was the 2nd to flagship vehicle in their lineup at the time if the g-wagon is excluded. To those who have installed aftermarket projector lamps, how have you done it?

I’m pretty sure you will have the wiring there, you may need to remove the door card to find it. The door cards have obviously been removed at some stage and someone has forgotten to hook them up.

Nope, door cards have never been removed to my knowledge, I've owned this car since it had 4 miles on it. It was like this on all 4 doors, so I'm presuming all US cars are the same. I think European and Australia cars might have some different wiring. Any solution to add the wires or should I just disassemble the panel?

I found there are two missing of the rear doors but the front doors have the wiring.

I would remove the panel and check myself. Hard to imagine they would put fake lights in there.
do you have any pictures of what’s in the door now. The lights are there for safety so oncoming traffic can see a door ajar

Is yours a US car? I'll take the door panel off next week when I have time but for mine it was a 11/14 build from the Alabama factory and it had no wiring and the lights are dummies.

On our C you have to DRILL OFF the door shell to get to anything inside. I did, re-riveted the freaking thing on (this was for a door lock issue). Silliness. In our E's there is access, I can not speak to the M or our GLS.
