2005 CL 65 oil cooler
Hi everyone,
Can you guys tell me where this is located on our 65 engines, dealer is saying its between the engine block V. I thought it was at the front of the engine, i did ask if he meant the oil heat exchanger, but no he said oil cooler is between the V and hard to get to so ie lots of labor.
Any thoughts chaps?
Cheers

You were correct and your service writer was incorrect. He was thinking of the v12 from 2000-02. The 03 up turbo versions are in front of the radiator or rf wheel depending on the vehicle. Bare in mind that service wrighters are not techs and if you want the real info you have to talk to the ones in back. If the tech didn't know that, find a new v12 tech

Thank You
Thank you very much StockC43, appreciate you confirming that for me.
I'll chat to the tech in the back next time if they still say they think there is a leak.
Cheers

i know on my car, there is a comman issue with the oil cooler leaking in between the center of the engine, like you mentioned in the (v)... now i know there is a oil cooler in the front on the car, so what ever that part that is in the middle on the engine is called, that is a comman oil leaking problem, i had mine fixed which required to pull the heads off ect ect, and i believe it was 7-8,000 dollars job.. so i dont know if you have a issue of a oil leak and they told you that the cooler is leaking, if that is the case then im sure you have the same problem as i did

Going back in...
Thanks freestylebiker3,
I checked it this AM and I've lost 1 QTR oil according to the sensors, that occurred since Jan 5th when it was checked and topped off at the dealer, and it's been driven 20 miles day since then and without the TX heat. It's going back in this Saturday so hopefully they can address. Under extended warranty so fingers crossed.
