Air Intake Temperature Logging – what’s normal?
Hi All,
I need to pick some more experienced brains. I bought an S600 BiTurbo last month, and I don’t think it’s behaving normally. I’m trying to work out what makes it tick, so I bought some OBD2 HW & SW that allows me to read DTC’s and log the sensor outputs.
The air intake temp readings were surprising – I see around 130 F when idling, and the temperature actually drops down towards 100 F under load. This isn’t what I was expecting. Ambient temperatures are only around 60 F here in the UK at the moment.
For those members with M275 engines who have also done any OBD2 monitoring, does this seem like normal behavior to you? Who do you see in normal usage?
Thanks,
Nick
