Tune Question: Fans on

So I have a tune from one of the well know tuners on the forum. I noticed when working on the IC pump that the fans did not come on until 200. I forwarded a note to the tuner asking if the fans could be turned on sooner and they replied that it is set for 190.

I confirmed the temp trigger @200 today, and they are telling me I have to have someone verify the engine coding with star.

My question is, can they not check this when I send them my info on the car?

Frustrating that I paid for a tune and now not sure what works and what doesn't

I know this is not the info you are looking for, but the set point can be adjusted in star.

Could you share the procedure?
I tried to do that on mine, but there were no options for the fan.

Cheers, Nick

My Mercedes tech couldn't find it either.

So I got some clarity from the tuner, when he told me fans were already set to 190.....apparently he thought that was factory, he did not adjust the fans in the tune.

This is the only procedure that I found:
Get in to the "control units"
Then go to "ME 2.8"
Then "Drive"
Then "Control Unit adaptations"
Then "Then Correction Programing"
Then "Electric Suction Fan"
But I don't have an option for Suction Fan on my car.

Hi Nick !

that is the right procedure

but I've noticed that too, don't have that line in >correction either

the only way to get more fan is to used the AC trick

I uploaded the file here:

backup link:

there must be a solution to make it appear but I am in my ignition nightmare right now
