Turbo spool audible with windows down....normal??
I had some work done on my car a few weeks ago and ever since I got it back, I’ve noticed that I can hear something that sounds like turbos spooling during moderate/hard acceleration.
I could have sworn that I never heard any turbo noises prior to this but maybe I’m crazy lol.
How should a stock M275 AMG engine sound?

Interesting. Quite a few things were done, the big ones were ABC pump and rear crankshaft seal.
Wonder if it’s a boost leak. Is that something I can check with SDS?

A boost leak would not allow you to accelerate hard. Check the plumbing from your air filters down to the turbo inket. If it is not seated properly on the turbo it will be sucking in air directly which can be audible. After making larger intake tubing I can hear my stock turbos spool. If you run filterless, you should hear them spool as well.

I hear them spool since giving her K&N air filters.
Can easily hear it spool on roads with walls next to the road as we often see here in Arizona.
When so inclined I roll all the windows down and partake of the glorious tone made by my force-fed twelve.

I would suspect the ABC pump, including the fluid accumulator bulb which seats on it. Also the serpentine belt tensionners bearings. Plus any intake air leaks which could be introduced when the work was being done on the car. If you have not done any work to the turbos or to the intake/exhaust, it should not cause a turbo sound change.
