Description:
I am selling my 2006 C55 AMG. This is a California car that I have owned for about 2.5 years and put about 20,000 miles on it. I moved to Illinois in late 2018 but its never seen snow. There is ZERO rust on this car. Overall it is in amazing shape. I really baby my cars as you can see in the pictures (Pictures link for mobile Here) (
Here is a rundown of the car: The C55 AMG is the highest-performance version of the W203 generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The AMG-built "M113" V8 engine powering this sport sedan produces 362 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, subtle styling, and attainable market value, the C55 is revered as a great entry point into high-performance Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles.
It has Dark blue paint – looks black if you don’t look very hard. 188k miles – high miles but incredibly well maintained. These can go for 300k. Engine and transmission are known to be bulletproof. Selling because I am moving and am losing a garage spot. Asking $7800.
Recent multi-point inspection at dealer is the last photo.

Pros:
· Literally zero issues with the car mechanically. I drove it to Denver this fall and it didn't miss a beat.
· No tunes or aftermarket parts.
· Paint is in good shape but has some swirls. I would say 8/10.
· Seats/interior is in great shape as well. There is some wear on the steering wheel, but its in good shape overall 8/10
· Everything works – rear sunshade, windows, sunroof, all bulbs, seat heaters
· No warning lights on dash
· No leaks
· A service performed 600 miles ago
· Front license plate never installed – No holes!
Cons:
· Passenger seat has a seam that could be restitched (see picture) – It been this way since I owned it and hasn’t gotten any worse (see picture)
· Passenger side rear interior window tint is scuffed from something rubbing against it (see picture)
· Paint on spoiler is slightly faded underneath current carbon fiber wrap
· Has one hood ding, two door dings on driver's side, and another two on the trunk lid from an acorn.
Miscellaneous:
· Comes with 2 working keys, but the spare one could use the plastic case replaced.
· Comes with original manuals/books
· Interior wood panels are currently wrapped in brushed aluminum vinyl, but wood underneath is in good shape, I just didn’t like the look.
· Engine hand built by Giuseppe de Giuseppe for those AMG folks.
· Wheels were professionally refinished in gunmetal by previous owner

Please tell me what mods you did to your engine to hit 180 mph? I've modded my '05, i.e., shorties, Eurocharged tunes, Sprint Booster V3, etc., and was about 15 mph slower. Please share some more info.. ..
BTW, I want to borrow your second form of transportation shown in the photo......lol
Thanks...
Rob
This is your old car? If so thats really cool. From when to when (dates, mileage) did you own it? I assume somewhere in CA?
I am from the Sacramento region and I bought it off a 19 year old whose dad was afraid he was going to wreck it. This was around 160k mileage.
I moved to Illinois a few years ago and it has been my DD everyday other than when its below freezing out.
Interesting also that you changed to the CLK style oval foglights. Perhaps thats why they were missing when I bought it? They were expensive to replace!

A year ago, I installed OEM wires, NGK Iridium plugs, too, and all coils were checked as good. When Eurocharged did my ECU tune in 2017, I asked if they could or would remove the rev limiter and they said, "NO". I knew there was a little more peddle to go faster but just couldn't get there.....unless I found a 5+ or more degree down-grade in the middle of the night in So Cal (I-5 Grapevine/I15 Cajon Pass, etc.). Who did your tune that removed the rev limiter.
