Good luck with sale. I didn’t realize 2023 private party sales were getting 15-20k above the 2020 dealer values. Wow! Have all of our w212s escalated this much all this being equal?

Most (all?) cars went up from March 2020 values to now. June/July 2020 may have been the low. It's been a relatively steady march higher on prices due to various factors since then, with the exception of a dip last Sept to Dec 2022. Once the calendar turned to January 2023, prices started climbing for most cars again.

The $72k price here seems totally reasonable based on mileage, options, etc. GLWS.

Edit: Do you have a list of mods?

I’ve seen this car around and it’s gorgeous! Our kids go to the same school and I drool every time I see you in the drop off line. Wish I was in the market for another Benz because I’d grab this in a heartbeat. GLWS!

i saw your wagon just a few weeks back in the parking lot - the ultimate sleeper - i don't have a winter set up for this one, but new toy (John hooked me up) will be all seasons!!!!
Worst case is i just keep it and smile every time i walk into the garage -

No one is interested in wagons anymore? I know it takes a special person -
Car is pretty much perfect and is ready to go - nothing is needed -

I LOVE wagons, but just stretched a bit more than this to get a 2018. I don't think this is a really great place to try to sell this, no interest in putting it on BaT or C&B?

That stretch is about $25g and bit more, you can even get a 2021.

That's a great comp, I think your car would also do well on BaT. For reference to my earlier comment, I paid $88k for my flawless 2018 E63 wagon with 15k miles. With BaT fees that 2016 was almost $81k and had more miles. For me it wasn't much of a stretch to reach for the S213. GLWS.

Purchased the wagon in Feb 2017 in CA and moved to UT 1.8 years ago for work. Car has been driven rarely since the move, part of that is that when i was looking for tires last year everything was backordered and then winter started so it has been sitting

That explains the purchased price which has considerably increased since then. The same wagon now would be 95-100 meaning a bigger spread than previously

Awesome car. Tempting to make an offer and fly out to road trip it back- but waiting on my bonus from work before doing anything. I'm hoping wagons make a comeback, as I absolutely love them. The only wagon on the market when I got my last one was the Buick TourX, which I ended up suing under lemon law and only had it a year.
You'll get top $ on BAT, as it's the best time of year right now for that car. I'm curious how negotiable you are, but honestly not sure if I can be a serious buyer at this point.

Not all cars are same with many variables making one different than the others. The most important factors being the type the number of the ownerships, the maintenance history, the geographical location, the type of usage etc

Just remember, " It's always better to pay upfront and drive a trouble free car or, buy a relatively cheaper car and pay later " and there's no way around it.

Personally, I have always paid more and bought a lower mileage cars with less ownerships and I have never had any problems ever buying any used car in the past 20 years.
