Colored buttons

What do the colored dots/buttons, green, red, gray, next to members names mean? I have looked everywhere and can not find an explanation.
Thanks in advance.

Green means they are online, Grey means they are offline. Not sure about red, it might mean they are busy but I didn't see an option to set it. The red exclamation mark if you are asking about is report a member.

I seem to always have the red button associated with my name but it is not with others, that is why I asked. I thought I was doing something wrong or maybe was put in a negative category of some kind.

Do you mind screenshoting what you mean?

You can see what I am talking about right here in the thread. Whenever I make a comment there is the area to the left that has my handle, join date, number of posts etc.. At the bottom of this area is an exclamation symbol and to the left of that is a round button/light that is red for me but green or gray for everyone else.

Might be the browser, do you have a colour inverter/filter on?

To disable it, go to https://mbworld.org/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions

First option, invisible mode

Use Invisible Mode
Invisible mode allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists.

Yep, sorry, just a matter of timing. I was putting together that post at the same time as you were answering.
Thanks very much. I have been wondering about this for a long time.
BTW - your icon now appears as gray, not red (or green). Did you “save” your change? Mine looks like it is now appearing as green.

All good, don't worry : )
That is normal, red is only shown for yourself. Since you are invisible, it will show grey which is like you are offline to other forum members. Other forum members won't ever see a red online status icon.

I just went ahead and disabled invisible mode, my online status should be back to online now with the green status icon.

Thanks again. As if we didn’t have better things to do. Sometimes I just push it too far to get to the bottom of things, I need resolution. My wife would certainly not be happy if she knew I was spending so much time on something like this. However, she will never know.
