Description:
I am considering selling one of the most amazing cars that I've ever owned. In my opinion, the R230 (with the facelift) is one of the most gorgeous Benz's of all time and the IWC Edition gave it some major upgrades.
In 2009, the original sticker of this car was over $169,000 USD (I still have the original sticker which will come with the sale) AND THE ORIGINAL IWC WATCH AS WELL (which I have seen sell separately for as much as $10,000). The car is in excellent condition for its age and I have absolutely babied her. For those unfamiliar with the model, here is a link so you can read up on it. Also, high level details are as follows:
- Limited edition SL63 roadster
- Only 200 IWC editions produced worldwide and only 63 offered for sale in United States (I have seen a number of them totaled online so assuming the number is now significantly less)
- +/-49,xxx miles (might change marginally as I do drive her)
- Designo Magno Cashmere Matte White finish
- AMG Tabago Brown premium Nappa leather interior
- Matte finish carbon fiber trim accents
- Suede headliner
- Panoramic glass retractable top
- 6.2L/518 HP V-8 engine
- 4 driving modes include Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Manual
- AMG Performance package
- AMG Performance steering wheel with two-tone finish
- AMG White illuminated doorsills
- Parktronic sensors
- Airscarf headrest
- Bi-xenon headlights
I think that $60,000 is a fair ask considering how rare it is but open to REASONABLE offers and constructive feedback. I am also in the market for an AMG GT Convertible (only C or R) so would be open to a trade as well.

I encountered one of these IWC Editions (didn't realize it was a $30K+ factory option!) in Bergen County last year. Curious if this is the same car.
Regarding the photos, could be a limitation due to account status / low post count.
I'll post them for you if you'd like.

i was thinking of selling it last year and had it posted on some facebook forums to kick the tires. Could’ve been me if you saw it. I ended up getting the photos working.
i have no clue where to price this thing because they’re pretty rare.

In terms of pricing, assuming the history is clean, your asking price isn't unreasonable, IMHO.
Some comparable examples from Barrett Jackson and Mecum auctions over the last few years (ranging from mid-$50K to mid-$60K):

Funny! I am in Edgewater too! Right off river road by CVS! Let's go for a cruise sometime!
As far as pricing, I think I am in the ballpark as well. Thanks for sending me those comps! My history is super clean. This is an awesome car but my Ferrari 355 was just totaled and I figured with insurance money and selling this, I can get my dream car... A 458

Bummer about the 355...those are sweet. A 458 would certainly make things better, though!

GLWS. I too own one with 27k on the clock and have thought numerous times about selling it but just cannot. I was also looking at the same spec HLG600 has and managed to test drive this one at first and loved the color scheme. Got it home and my wife and I saw the IWC on the ashtray cover and originally thought, "wow, the previous owner put his own monogram on it," then later realized how rare it is. Unfortunately I did not get the watch or the window sticker, but that's ok.
My cousin loved my car so I'll make him aware of your ad.

Mecum auctions are not the best way to compare your pricing to, it’s a bunch of people with a whole lot of money to spend caught up in the moment and let us not forget being on tv. The cars on there are not as they seem, I had a friend buy one over the phone and it looked immaculate on tv he was told by the people at the auction that it was a perfect car that they would buy the car . He had it shipped home gave it a good look over and knew he over paid after he took it for a ride then to his mechanic. So just so it looks good doesn’t mean it’s worth a whole lot of money!
