Kimi would have walked away with another one....
On a related note, Mark Webber is a real idiot. If he keeps it up, it'll be Button-Heidfeld next year!

On another note, could you believe Kimi's luck? Make that Alonso's luck. And at the very last lap! If it would've just held up for one more lap. The way the suspension let go in such dramatic fashion was sure a sight to behold. I couldn't believe it! Oh well. At least Alonso won. I was rooting for him, actually. :p
Thank goodness for that tether-line that kept the wheel from smashing right into the ****pit.
And the nerve of Fernando Alonso, celebrating like a girlie, as if he dominated the entire race. He led for 5 laps the entire race! That's it. Sure a win is a win, but Alonso should just be a little more subdued, a la Barrichello.
Completely agree with Petmerctech regarding the no tire-change regulation. Completely absurd, and today's last lap tragedy is exactly why. It could have been a lot worse !!! FIA are you listening ????
I wish KIMI the very best, and hope he can both take pole and P1 in Montreal & USA.
JP Montoya also needs to step up, and get in 2nd / 3rd to take away points from Renault, BMW & the Ferrari potential lurking in the rear. It's not too late for a KIMI championship and a McLAREN Constructor's Trophy !!!
What I don't remember is if Kimi did his flatspot before or after his last pitstop. If it was before the pitstop, then the rules are to blame for creating the situation. If it was after the last pitstop, then the scenario would have been the same regardless of the rule. Either way, I'm sure FIA is taking a long look at how much leverage a team has in keeping a driver out in unsafe conditions.
There is one school of thought that Kimi should have come in and replaced the tire, its possible he would still have got 3rd place, ensuring he at least picked up SOME points. We could'nt be sure how long it would last though I guess. But it did'nt sound pretty!
