Alonso to join McLaren Team for 2007!
Well, Renault announced that they are very dissapointed about Fernando's move to MB however they claim this is not going to effect them. They are going to do their best for the 2006 championship with Alanso and Fisichella.
and in 2007, Heikki Kovalainen will replace Alanso's place.
Good luck for Mclaren-MB. Alanso is a very young and talented pilot, I am sure he is going to make some changes in MBs standings in F1.

I was expecting nicer responces. I just wanted to see some reactions from those guys who talks about track days and stuff if they ever watch F1.
I believe I am at the right place..off topics ( they talk about cell-phones and stuff) just wouldnt do.

i hate those sleepless nights though
It would be awesome to see both at Mclaren, though. That would be one of the strongest combinations in history!
BTW next week testing is back at Jerez, McLaren'll be on orange livery there. Bye to the Silver Arrows. It was nice while lasted.

When McLaren went to the "Silver Arrows" livery in 1997, the idea was from then on to promote McLaren as a corporate brand in and of itself. At that point the color scheme was to remain essentially fixed and sponsors would buy "space" within certain areas for their corporate logos. The black/silver/grey scheme we've become accustomed to had nothing to do with West - West's corporate colors are actually red and white like Marlboro (previous cars West had sponsored in F1 were predominatly red with white trim) - but the loss of the Marlboro contract allowed McLaren and Ron Dennis to institute the new "McLaren corporate look."
Even if they were to substantially change the livery, my guess is that it probably wouldn't be too different from the Vodafone-sponsored Mercedes run in the DTM - so the "Silver Arrow"-ness should remain intact, especially seeing how Mercedes is still a major sponsor as well.
