Hmmmm...Ferrari 1-2, and Renault 3-4....
...and if Schumacher wins this one how close is he to Alonso? And if Alonso doesn't get any points this race and Schumacher finishes on the podium...?
Could be a momentous race for the season....

Massa got pole. Pretty good! Did you see the massive time MS set in Q2 ?! 1:25.8 ! 1 second faster then last year !!!!! Geez those Ferrari's are FLYING! Their goes Maxs proposal of slowing down the cars

In an unusual move by Ferrari, they sacrifice at least 2 points-difference in order to give Massa his maiden win. Too bad I didn't watch.

I think this was done to prove to Kimi that Ferrari is FINALLY willing to let the faster man win a race as oppossed to their old strategy of Team Orders.
For the first time, I was actually rooting for MS in the last laps. Too bad it didn't happen.

"Unlucky with the timing of the yellow" was the 'official' version that I read....
Perhaps - but I still think Schumacher running up behind Massa - already in the pits - was a screw-up by the team -- by someone on the team...?

"Tyres to make or break the chances" - Alonso
Istanbul: The Formula One title battle between Renault's Fernando Alonso and Ferrari's Michael Schumacher is in the hands of the tyre makers.
After another full-on fight between the two champions in Turkey, Alonso left Istanbul with a 12-point lead, but recognising that anything could happen in the last four races.
The tyres, said the world champion, could make or break both men's dreams. "I think we are in Michelin and Bridgestone's hands because at the end of the day, I think the cars are at their maximum development now," the Spaniard said. "In the last part of the championship, I don't think you can find extra tenths or two tenths (of a second) in the car, while the tyres can give you more than half a second. "So I think that... the tyres will be the deciding point in the championship."
Both Michelin-shod Renault and Bridgestone-equipped Ferrari have a busy test schedule over the coming week before the Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari's home race, at Monza. After Monza there will be two more tests for Renault while Ferrari are likely to be using their private Fiorano test facility to the maximum.
Renault have a more powerful engine and new developments coming in for Monza and remain confident, despite their constructors' lead being whittled down to two points.
I did enjoy the chase there at the end in Turkey....

luck for alonso
F Alonso was the luckiest driver out there, however i cant see why schumi wasn t able to overtake him. I mean there were loads of overtaking going on. Did he not want to take a risk, or is this an indication concerning his retirment.
