They'll never go to Vegas again. NEVER. Especially in the June timeslot for the last few USGPs. The only thing worse than the flat as a 10-year-old girl parking lot circuit was the 110 degree weather that fried half the field... even in September, 1982.

No, no thanks. When my bro turned 21, we had a party for his buddies at the VIP room. Drinks were about twice as much, and the girls no better.

You mean like the famous Caeser's Palace "parking lot" GPs in Vegas (1981-82)? (Alboreto won in 1982 in the Green Tyrell.) I think memories of that fiasco are still frontal lobe material for Bernie E and crew.

Weather isn't a factor because look at the GP's over in Malaysia etc they are scorchers. The only reason i want the GP in vegas is indy sucks a$$ it couldn't be worse that that track. and i think it will be at the speedway not a st coarse. any way we'll see. Bernie did say all Tony george has to do is fix a few things at indy and it would be back
A attorney and dentist at the race who know Bernie E. told me this info, but like i said untill they announce it, its just a rumor. I wish the govt would step up and fund a GP track!! wishfull thinking though!!

what is important though is that he got very close to massa in qualy w/ 3-5 (ive heard 3 and 5, so i dunno) laps more fuel and got a much faster "fastest lap" than massa and .2 up on hami in a faster car.
im pretty sure his setup still isnt perfect, so ideally, he (just kimi, no car) should only get faster, and if the new car is also an improvement on the last one as much as it should be (supposedly a b-spec car )

I Won Tickets on MercedesAMG Private Lounge!
I registered to win a pair of tickets over on Private Lounge, and won!! It turned out to be a wonderful weekend. The Tower Suite hosted by Mercedes-Amg was incredible. We were there for all three days in air-conditioned comfort with all the food and drink you could ask for. We even got a "pit walk-thru" on Friday morning. Mercedes/Amg also hosted saturday night dinner for everyone(100) at Mo's Steakhouse in downtown Indianapolis. A special treat was a visit from Fernando Alonzo. Sunday at 10:30 AM Lewis Hamilton dropped in at the suite, which blew everyone away. My best highlite of the race was on Lap 37 when Alonzo made his attemted pass on the front straight. They come screaming past our seats virtually side by side, hurtling towards the first turn, everyone on their feet. When they got thru the corner safely, the President of M/B USA turned around with both hands on his heart with his face looking loke this !! After the race we all joined him in a champagne toast to the victory. The weekend could not have been more fun!

Next Year
I really did feel like I was dreaming!! If there is a race at Indy next year and Private Lounge offers giveaway tickets, you must signup for them!! You do have to own an AMG car though. I spent approx. $3,200 for airfare and accomodations for my wife and I.
