Well, I'm all ready for this weekend
Stand B, just by the first turn. My brother-in-law's come up from Sydney for it too.
His friend was supposed to be coming up as well, but the bank he works for hilariously cancelled all leave for employees a couple of hours before he was supposed to get on the plane. Oooh, he's annoyed. So if anyone can get to Shanghai in the next day or two, we have a spare ticket....
Anyway, we went last year, and it was great. So I'm looking forward to this enormously. Hopefully Lewis won't end up stranded in the gravel like he did last year.
I saw the Ferrari pit crew this morning on my way into work: they were heading out to the track in a couple of big Iveco trucks. I checked, but I couldn't see a fuel line hanging out the back of either truck, so they must have been careful when they left the hotel.

ahh mann... How much do you want for the tix?? I wish you posted this about a week ago.. Im in Korea n I could've fly over there. hehe
Owie's ticket was US$ 275, but I'd guess he'd be happy to take pretty much anything now. He's trying to persuade his employer (a bank, which clearly thinks that his continued presence at work will solve the entire financial crisis) to pay for his wasted ticket.
I hope this doesn't mean we're going to see the same disaster for Lewis again.
I hope it doesn't rain, though. It's a lot nicer sitting out on the stand if it's not raining.

I've just been to a meeting at the Marriott: all the McLaren-Mercedes team were there.

I like the track. It requires patience in drivers that otherwise have very little.
Lewis, I need you to keep your cool. Reach into your back pocket and pull out that wallet that says...Bad MuthaF*cka.

It is a nice track. It's a great venue too: easy to get in and out of, great views from the stands, cheap beer, and really well-organised.
Maybe I should print this out and wave it from the stands for him tomorrow. It'd be a good counterpoint to the flag I saw the guy in front of me waving last year. It said (in English) "Mr Lewis, we Chinese would also like you to win!", which was nice, but not as succinct as your comment.
