Clicking driver's seat in my W203 - Need tech help!
Hi
I drive a W203 C200K (built may 2001) and here's my problem:
My drivers seat "clicks" on some occations, mostly when I drive over some uneven surfaces (like speed-bumps) but also when I just "move around" in the seat. I've also noticed that the lower rear seach cushion tends to slide a couple of millimeters sideways by "inspired" turns. I think I've located the clicks to some plastic clips under the seat cushion, but I'm not sure. I have the standard seats (partial electric) and have brought my car in for this problem on two occations, but my dealer seems to be unable to fix it. Anyone else had (or heard of) this problem, and in that case - is there any solution? Since my dealer seems unable to fix it, I'd like to try to fix it myself.

Thanks for your reply Patrick! So what is the solution for the problem? How do I make the seat stop clicking and sliding? My guess is that one of those clips are broken (due to the fact that my dealer lubed them with some kind of grease the first time I had it in). Can it be this??
In that case, what parts are needed to fix it? Can I fix it myself (my local tech apparently can't
)

Yes, it's a official MB-dealer, but their techs appears to know nothing about MB-cars. For example: I had my car in for a clicking purge-valve, but the first time they told me it was supposed to sound that way. I then printed out several threads from this forum, and actually had to tell them what was wrong and how to fix it. 
With my sliding seat they said something like this -"There is no fix for it. Lower your seat as much as possible and it will not slide that much". I've had it in two times only to get my car back with my seat in the lowest position... That's how good they are
Nice to know that there are people that actually knows something about MB-cars around. Thanks alot for that! Do you by the way happen to know the partnumber for those plastic clips?

Solution is simple, find another dealer thats competent. I would not try anything yourself as they could then blame the problem on you

But I do not understand what you can do with the part #. If you want to buy it you have to go to your (or a) MB-dealer, so they can look it up for you.
Where I work we have those clips in stock.
