Help me to explain !!

May i ask some question here??
Can you explain for me why is the left SAM control the right headlamp low beam and right SAM control the left headlamp low beam ?

I've confuse about how does the left SAM control right low beam instead of left low beam! please advise me the reasons and function for this?

Thank you.

My car as a front and rear SAM. The front controls both headlights, among other functions.

That's right! some vehicle available only Front SAM and Rear SAM, so both of the front headlamp is controlled by front SAM ; however, When the car with tandem SAM,which is Left SAM and Right SAM, the headlamp totally control by different way i mean Left SAM control right low beam & Right SAM control left low beam! Anyone can explain why design like that ?

It may be a harness design decision. Can you tell me what model and year? I can ask a harness maker.

Easy one- the left SAM also controls the left markers as well as the right low beam and visa versa. So if a SAM fails, you will still have lights on each corner.

Woo... Can you explain clearly how does this design of low beam control would improve safety as SAM fail on one side. And how about some vehicle still used with conventional design as Left SAM control left low beam and vice-versa instead of diagonal control..?

It would be the same concept, no matter which low beam was controlled from what SAM- I quess if I was designing it, I would have diagonal controlled the markers myself, but maybe the engineer did the markers first when he/she laid out the design!
In some cars, and some countries, if substitute lamps are used, then the still functioning SAM would 'sub' the foglamp for the failed SAM- greatly improving safety obviously.
