replacing stock air filters with green air filters

hey guys i own a 2004 clk 320 coupe and i recently purchased green air filters, but im not exactly sure on how to install them.

im a newbie, so can anyone possibly guide me through the steps or even show diagrams? i already searched the forums and i found a install guide but it was for the e55 amg, but my engine and airbox are not similar to that of the illustrated guide.

thanks in advance!

I don't know anything about a CLK 320 since I own an E320. Check out this link which is a Russian site that has the EPC online. I copied the entire link which is the air filters assemblies for all models -- look at your model.

Then just try the site URL without all the other stuff -- this means typing in only up to the ".asp" part of the URL.

The main screen will have all the MB models, so click on your model and select "09 Air Filter". Look for you model there -- they have blowup diagrams of the various airboxes so you can figure out how to open it.

paul...

on the 320 engines, the air filter housing basically is sitting on some rubber bumpers with clips and the easiest way to explain it is you grab it and pull!! the ffront cover pulls off first (up and the front then slide forward. The main housing then gets pulled upward off the clips. then flip the housing over and take the screws out that hold the two individual filter housings.

Like MBTech21 said, after you pull the air box off, and flip it over, you'll see the 2 rectangular areas on each side of the air box with 4 Torx screws holding the covers down. Remove the covers and you'll see the filter elements. Remove and replace.

There's a post here somewhere that somebody with an E320 provided with pictures -- I'll try and find it and provide you the link.
