Problems after HID install.. Please Help
Hey guys, i just got a 07 GL with no HID option. I love the look of HIDs, so i got a set of aftermarket installed right after i took deliver of it. It was installed yesterday by a local shop here in Vancouver, and tonight all the problems came instantly. Speedo stoped working, parking sensor stoped working, passenger airbag switched off, ABS and ESP both switched off, and check engine light. oh yea, no more power steering.
Can you guys give me some suggestions? will dealer fix the problems because of the aftermarket HIDs? Can it still be driven?
Thanks alot!

My suggestion is that remove the HID Kit first to see if it elimanates the problem. Or take it back to the shop to that installed it.
Most MBZ dealerships dont like that fact of of aftermarket HID kits so I would say no. But your problems seem pretty rare when installing an HID kit. There seems to be a short or misintall somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestions. i will take it back to the shop where i got it installed to see if they can fix it. or they will have to take off the HIDs and give me my money back. this really pisses me off cause i only had the car for less than a week.

did you buy the aftermarket HID system from the installer? if not, why would
you conclude that it was the installer's fault by demanding your install $ back?
might this not possibly be the fault of the product?
