Repair under factory warranty
Two weeks ago I went to a MB dealer to have the brakes checked because the brakes squak. The guy at the dealer said he needed to order some parts in order to fix it. My car is still under factory warranty, so he said I didn't have to pay anything and would call me when the parts arrive. It's been more than 2 weeks. I called and emailed him many times to ask if the parts arrive, but He couldn't answer me and always said he's checking on it or he has the tech checking on it. My car's factory warranty is going to expire next week. What should I do if the problem hasn't been fixed before the factory warranty expires? What if the guy at the MB dealer didn't order the parts for me? Do I need to pay for parts and labors? Thank you.
What brake parts do they need exactly??
I own a repair shop and the MB dealer I get parts from always has brake parts in stock. If they don't have the part in stock, they can always get it the next day.
I'd say try bringing the car in to another dealer, or deal with a different service writer.
What city are you in?
To tell the truth, I don't know what brake parts they need. The guy just said he needed to order parts and would call me. I have been trying to call him several times, but he has never answered my call. I left messages, but he has never called me back.
Where could I complain about this terrible service?? MB USA??? I will go to another dealer. Anyway, I'm in Tacoma, Washington. Thank you very much.
I also can't imagine what parts for a basic brake repair a dealer would not have in stock or not be able to get overnight.
Sounds like
to me. I would go somewhere else if possible. Jim
