Is there anyplace I can get a listing of the error message codes , decoded??

I am driving a 96 E320 and am interested in buying a OBD II message reader, but I would still have to decode the error messages... or will the reader come with a booklet listing the codes?

Any advice from others out there who have purchased these after-market code readers, and what is your opinion, was it worth it or not?

My reader came with all the codes. I believe it was worth it, even though I've never tripped a code.

 

Is there more than one manufacturer or is there one that is better than another?

Whats the name of the one you bought???
