I been reading on mercedes for past few months all the litature i can get. I want to buy new car for past year . I drive a honda which i have had 8 yr. Im concernced about reliability issue if i buy one and concerned i read alot on people who paid 2 grand to fix there car when broken i read alot about the sam issue with batteries. I really like the look of the new 2008 c 350 but concerned about how good are they and if it is a car i can keep for 8 yr or so . I always been able to fix my car im a hand on guy liek to learn alot and fix things if i can with my hands i see mercedes is all about codes. I do drive alot fast and hard will this car be up for it please hel p me decide give me your input on mercedes I am concerned about also the brakes someone told me its $1800 to do brakes

My wife drives a 03 E500 we have owned since 2/04. We now have 70,000 miles on it. Only issues were heater water valve stuck closed.

Brake pads wear out at about 30,000 miles because they are apparently soft. I change my own brakes not that difficult.

Oil changes are as any other car but you have to reset the computer for the work and you must use the correct oil and filters.

I would buy an extended warranty.
