Battery/Trunk ISSUE!!!
#2
If you can jack the car up and find the + on the starter with the big lead you can jump a battery to it and - to chassy ground to get enough power to open the door. Then you should be able to access the hood to jump/charge the battery.
Not a "normal" thing to do but given no key and can't get in,, that's how I would reverse feed power to the battery/electrical system.
Warning,, you must get the + on starter to the jump battery + cable. If you get it backwards you will have a bigger $$ to repair damages.

There are 2 terminals on the driver's side one exposed one inch tube (brass) which is the negative terminal. The positive one is encased in a black plastic box closer to the driver and is clearly marked in red.
You can charge the battery overnight and try starting the car, opening the trunk etc. For your information the E class battery is not in the trunk but under the rear passenger seat.
Read your manual.

I owned a 1999 E55 and since your CLK is the same MY I think the engine bay layouts are similar.

The cars actually don't come with more than two keys these days, but both would have the steel key.

I interpret that you only have one IR key, or did you lose both metal keys? I have seen so many posts from users losing their single key, that is surprising to me. I would order a new key immediately if I lost one (metal, IR or both, and would delete the lost key from the authorised list in the car).
Anyway, I hope the car is fine now, I hope so at least.

If you give your dealer your VIN s/he can get you a new key pretty quickly.
Much better than tearing the car apart.
Might even ask if the dealer's mobile service has "master keys" they could use if they come out to your car. You could, in fact, ask this question at 1-800-for-merc
