Hey all I have been trying to reset my service reminder followed the instructions in the owners manual and still not resetting, any suggestions or comments on how to do this. I have a 1998 C280 sport.

here is how I did it, and probably listed somewhere in here already. But a friend of mine told me to do it like this:

1: Turn key to position 2 ( right before the start position)
2: press 0 button 2 times (right below the dimmer buttons for dashboard lights)
3: Turn key off and remove key
4: Press and hold the 0 button while turning key back to position 2 hold the button in for like 10 seconds maybe longer and it will reset to 10000. once you see it reset release the 0 button.

Hope this helps someone else out, I know it worked for me I was so frustrated with the owners manual...

I found actually having the service done is the easiest way.

Best to start a new thread rather than hide your post in a dark alley.

Works for me. Are you using Linux?

Try this route:

Enter www.StarTekinfo.com as an URL

Select MB Workshop Resources from the left hand menu

When it expands, select Reset Service Indicator

Scroll down to find the PDF that applies to your Model/Year
