Possible exhaust leak on ML 500?
I have a ML500 and this has me a little baffled, not the code, but the way it is coming intermitantly accompanied by this noise. I'm getting an intermitent CEL, (p0105) maybe o2 sensor, but the wierd thing is this noise I'm getting. It sounds like an exhaust leak on the drivers side, but I can't duplicate it in my garage, it only makes it underload out on the street. The best I can articulate the sound is as a exhaust leak. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Set the parking brake, hold down the brake pedal and put the engine under load in the garage. Get the RPM up to around 2000, just down go through the house.

Well I found it, good old cracked weld on the driverside cat. Hair line that I did not notice at first but after googling pics of ones that did go bad, I knew I found the culprit.
Anyone else have this on a ML500? I know they did a massive recall for 320's to S500's, but I saw no ML.

This is not my cat but a picture I found when googling Cracked MB catalytic converters, mine is more hair line but in the same place.

The only negative from the experience is my ml is out of warranty so no loner, but for $10 I got a SMART

I can have it for 5 days still just $10 and I can bring it back empty if I want. However when you already have a coupe it kind of blows, not to mention a transient could pass me in a shopping cart...going down hill.
