CLK W209: Taillight acting retarted?

Hello gurus, i have a 2003 clk 500 w209. My car says my left taillight bulb is out and when i take out the bulbs, they ALL are fine and none of them are out. I dont know why my car is stuck on saying left tail lamp out? Is there a way to reset the malfunctions or something? Because of that error my backup lamps are on only and not regular lights. Please help....

When a rear park light globe (bottom of the lens) goes out it uses the brake light globe (top on the lense) at a lower voltage to subsitute the lower wattage globe so you don't see any lights that don't work.

It may say on the dash that the backup lamp is on or a subsitute light is on.

If that the case then change the park light globes on the affected side
