Anyone with a STAR box in the Boca Raton area?
I just replaced my conductor plate in my 2001 CLK55 and now I need the transmission code P0715 cleared.
I'm getting varied info from the local indys...
Here's some of the answers I've received:
"Just need to clear the light, you can do that with your OBDII"
and "It'll be $300.00 Cause we have to completely reprogram your transmission"
And "No one will do that without doing the transmission them selves, sorry"
So, anyone have the ability and willingness to help me in the area?
Kind of needs to be close cause I'm in "Limp Mode"
Or, is it ...off to the Dealer for me?

you dont need a "Star Box" i replaced the conductor plate on my 98 c230 and i used my buddies tester to clear the code of course it wasnt a cheap codescanner it was a $300 scanner that does airbags trannys and abs and multiple other things so any shop will be able to clear the code there is no "reprograming" needed

I wonder if you could clear the code the same way as on a Passat; disconnect the battery and ground the cables (connect the possitive and negative cables together) for a little while. You'll probably have to reprogram a bunch of things like the radio and seats, etc but it might be something to try before going to the stealership.

I found an Indy that said he has equipment to reset it. I'm heading out in a few minutes . He's 15 minutes away..oh, 35 minuets at 20 MPH.

Back from Germantech Automotive, LLC and Jermaine Davis reset it for me for $25.
It's running great. With the transmission Adaptive Control (ATC) reset it shifts better than ever.
Now if I could only get it to stay that way without adapting to the usual easy starts I have to do because of South East Florida traffic.
