Hi Guys,
Can anyone show me how to hold the retractable top half opened? (it is trying to come back down
I need to keep it staying that way for a little while, so I can work on some part of it...

Ignition on (position 2), operate the switch to raise or lower the top, and release the switch when the top is in a position that allows you to access what you want to work on then turn the ignition off. The top will stay where it is. That's what I did when I needed to replace a damaged trim piece (one of the "flaps" that form the rear deck when the top is down).

How to Hold the Retractable Half Opened
The difference in what I did is I did not turn the switch off, so after a little while, it is coming back down -- pretty dangerous when you have your fingers around...!
OK, I will turn the switch off.
But is there a place you can stick a piece of wood to hold it, just as a precaution (like when you raise the car with a jack, and also insert a piece of wood to prevent the car accidentally coming back down)?

If your top won't stay in one position when it is partially open, the switch released, and the ignition off, there's something else wrong. There's a vario roof guide here somewhere - it might be worth looking it up.
The alignment of the top is fairly critical - trying to use a block to keep the top from moving is probably not a great idea.
