install Europe Maps on US comand NTG4.5
I just shipped 2 cars from Florida to my other home in the UK, 1 is a W207 2014 the other is W166 2013.
I need to change lights to UK spec etc and radio tuner, but for now am just tryign to install the UK/Europe maps.
I was told just get the right disc and PIN and all would be simple.
However when I put the disc in, comes up with incompatible message (see attachment)
Is there any cure for this please? hopefully wont have to swap out the comand unit. I do have xentry and access to online coding if needed.
thanks

all solved, another user gave me solution below, worked a treat.
You need to change region coding in Comand Dealer menu.
Press "END call" + "#" + "1" approx for for 10 seconds until menu comes. If I remember right go to 7. HW Setting - Market/DVD setting and here change region from USA to ECE. After that press "ON" for 10 sec until Comand restarts

ML250 (W166) to France
I am about to export our 2015 ML250 Bluetec from Oregon to Brittany, France and am encouraged to hear that it is probably possible to convert the nav system from N. America to Europe/UK. Could someone tell me exactly what I need to do to make this work? Terrymargate seems to be on the right track. Both local MB dealers and the national US "customer service" are of absolutely no help whatsoever, and their official version is "can't be done." I also contacted a dealer in France and heard nothing back but cricket sounds. Ron

Hi Ron.
I managed to install the europe maps on both the ML350 and the E350.
First I had to change the region as mentioned above. Then I used the europe disc I purchased for around $80, same disc for both cars. Finally I bought a PIN for each car from a different forum member, was much cheaper than buying the PIN from Mercedes.
Took around half hour for each car to install the europe maps and they both worked flawlessly.
hope this helps

Will installing the Europa map, overwrite the NA maps, or they will be installed alongside?
How much did you pay getting the pin per installation?

I am having similar issue. I imported ML 350 (W166) from Canada and I want to add maps for Europe. I spoke with a Mercedes dealer here in Bulgaria and they told me it is not possible on model older then 2015. I have already changed the Region settings to ECE and I am about to get a disc with the maps. Can you tell me where you bought the PIN from? If you can send me an email at dim.shatarov@gmail.com it will be much appreciated. The current version of the North America maps is 2012 (V 7.0)
