Brake Pad Replacement

'01E430: When replacing the pads on the E class, do the rotors have to be replaced also or is just turning them enough?

MB rotors are not to be turned. They should be checked with a micrometer and replaced if out of spec. Normally you get 2 sets of pads to one set of rotors.

A W203 tech bulletin specifically states to first turn rotors to correct a defect before replacing them. I have also heard the "don't turn MB rotors" but I think it is model specific.
