Xenty - accidentally triggered 'initial startup with manual settings input for new co
Hi guys,
After playing for one hour with Xentry on my 2010 ML550 W164 I seem to have messed up already.
I believe I accidentally triggered 'initial startup with manual settings input for new control unit' on the transmission control unit.
Where I was initially able to see all values/settings in the 'Transmission' section I now get the following message when connecting to the transmission unit:
Initial startup after repair N15/3 (ETC [EGS] control unit)
followed by:
Initial startup with manual settings input for new control unit.
with a list of several steps (see screenshot).
I obviously did not repair anything and the car runs fine.
How can I undo this and get back to the original situation?
Thanks for any insights and apologies for this most likely very basic question.
This is where you take it to a dealer or contact one of the gurus on this forum who can remote into your computer while it is connected to the car and they will program the TCM for you. It will not be cheap but you pay for the knowledge.
I recommend you see if your version has the simulation mode. I literally step through the task to be performed in simulation mode so I have some idea of what to do before I connect the car.
Haha, not really. Car drives fine and I managed to make all changes I want through Vediamo. Just cannot get into that damn transmission module in Xentry. I might PM you later when I have more time.

I never even mentioned you.... So chill. Stop sending threatening PM's. I am just here to help.
Don't deny something you just did. I post a message to help this user out, then you post the same message just behind mentioning "No charge for the help"
This implies that I would charge...
Then you post false allegations that I was sending "threatening PM's"
this bad behavior triggers me to expose you as I hate lies
I was just telling you not to post ambiguous words then recalling you the rules for Non-Sponsored Advertising that you are doing via posts and PM's
Bottom line is that maybe some users where thinking that I offer my help here as a pay-service
so I changed that in my banner text
Thank you for that !
All this is not very interesting for the readers but I do not allow anyone to distort reality
and I always keep copies of the messages and emails I send, just that you know.....
Many thanks to MBENZTECH for solving this for me.
Apparently I had processed a fault code that requires replacement of the conductor plate. It saved the valve body flow data so it can be transferred to the new unit.
It my case the issue was resolved by deleting the following files:
