So I just ask my service department to open a TAC case?

Also, how long does it take for the CEL to come back on after you clear it?

And can you check if your marching lamps in your side mirrors are fine and bright when they are on?

Yes ask them to escalate to a TAC case. after I clear the codes it really depends on the length of time. sometimes one or two days. I now have my own code reader to just make sure no other codes are thrown and causing other issues. I think its a good idea just so you don't get any other issues. I will also clear the code every couple of days just so that I can use my MercedesMe app for remote starting because it doesn't work if there is an active code.

I found out they have an update but can only be given to the dealership if your service advisor escalates the issue to a TAC Case. Its not a released update yet because they are still working on it to make sure it will be able to work with all types of models but can be released to dealership if a problem is escelated.

still got nothing, have to keep a cheap 25$ amazon code reader in my car and clear the code every few days when it pops up so I can use the automatic start feature on mercedes me app.

Hello,

Just a quick update. My dealership reached out to me about 2.5 months ago and asked me to bring my vehicle. I thought a software was ready to be installed. Vehicle stayed at the shop for a month. They ended up doing a heater core flush and a new thermostat. Today, 2,000 km later, light is back on 😒....

nothing yet, just reached out to my service advisor the other day but he hasnt gotten back to me yet. :-(

If you can't DIY fixes, you are left to the care of factory trained professionals.
  • call the local service manager
  • then MB USA
  • then trad-in... Carmax
