Mercedes C205, belt squeal/squeak/chirp when accelerating
Hey guys
As the title says it, i have a belt slip issue. I think the belt tension is somehow not enough. I have 150.000km in the car. I changed the belt and the belt tensioner, but the squeaking, chirping noise is unbearable when I accelerate. I checked the pulleys too, they dont make any sounds, so it shouldn’t be the bearings. It’s driving me insane. Could it be that one of the pulleys is misaligned? If yes, how can I align them?
Thank you for all the answers.

You have proven it is NOT...:
- new belt
- new tensioner
- idlers
Double check pulleys spining without free-play....:
- steering pump
- AC Compressor
- Alternator
- Water pump
Second guesses....:
You have the wrong belt length or wrong tensioner - Compare with originals or cross reference part numbers.
🤞

I sounds like it is either speed-related or rpm-related. If you think it could be caused by the accessories belt, try some belt dressing to see if the noise stops. The other things could be the a/c compressor, power steering pump, alternator, water pump, or idler pulley. Wait! I think that's what Cali just said.

short list
without testing anything I'd say frozen AC Compressor or one of the replacement part has an issues... idler inside out, wrong belt/tensioner
