Please help my 208 CLK55 with interior water leak and climate control noise?
Please help my 208 CLK55? When it rains heavy, water leaks into the vehicle and pools on the driver's side floor. The car was parked when this happened. I also have a rhythmic thumping noise coming from inside the dash whenever the climate control system is on(whether the engine is running or not).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Can't comment on the leak but the thumping is likely a door on the ventilation system and a motor that drives it. I had a clicking noise on my '00 E that was a bad stepper motor in the dash.
As an aside, did you ever have your windshield replaced? Also, you want to be sure that you don't have leaves and debris in the cowl area. Finally there are drains for the AC and water run-off that may be clogged causing your leak.
Good Luck,
JR

Drains are located on the underside of the rocker panels. They appear as if they are stamped into the metal. Use a piece of wire or similar object and push into the openings to clear them

My rocker panels are covered by the AMG ground effect mouldings, is the water supposed to drain from the retainers/fasteners?
Maybe it is the w/s? I definitely believe that it's at least some rain water and not all just coming from the AC.

Dealer said it was the left rear sunroof drain. Hard to believe so much water could leak past the outer seal of the sunroof and overcome the remaining three drains.
