2024 GLC 300 Mbux system
I am new to Mercedes-Benz being that I have just purchased a 2024 GLC 300.
I did purchase the service maintenance program for the 10,000 mile part a and b maintenance schedule.
I am a car guy and I would like to know how to go into the service section on the car and go into the reset mode..
I would like to go into the system to be able to see how it is done.
Second question, I have attached an image of the oil drain plug. I have never used this type before are these reusable and easy to unscrew it appears to be plastic.
Thanks again for any suggestions you might have.

For plastic drain plugs it is always a good idea to replace it with new ones, last you need are leaks. Even if MB states it is resuable. Cheap insurance. MB wasn't always right (ie. sealed for life transmission fluid, NOT).
The other thing I would caution is to not go 10,000 miles between oil changes. While it's the distance interval specified, I worry how much of that is sales driven versus engineering driven. Since all cars today claim 10,000 miles or more, or even calculate when you need to change the oil based on how you drive (i.e., Honda), how much crap do you think a manufacturer would catch if they said change the oil every 5,000 miles (and we'll do it for $300)? Oil and fluid changes are cheap insurance.
Just returning the comments from my above post on the option for resetting the oil service code.
So for an update it appears that in the 2024 models they have taken away that feature, unless something pops up on on the info channels
So for now I only can see two options; take the car into the dealership for a the 10,000k oil change, buy a scanner tool.
so unless this appears on any new videos coming up from anybody that might know.
I probably will go the ODBC to scanner route for resets in the future. It's a real shame that auto manufacturers are controlling our simple maintenance habits or in some cases even adding insult through them by throwing service codes if you touch something. Just My two cents.
